Quick Tip: If you have a name brand computer (such as Compaq, Dell, IBM, emachine, etc) it is a good idea to update the modem driver of your internal modem on a regular basis (every 4-6 months is advisable). Most name brand computers come with software based modems which need updated modem drivers in order for the modem to connect effectively with our modems. Not updating the modem driver could result in frequent disconnects or the inability to make a dialup connection.
